About Jessica M. Calandra DO
I am Jessica M. Calandra, DO, a physician specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation, with a clinical focus on brain injury and stroke rehabilitation. I earned my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed my residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 2020, and subsequently pursued a brain injury fellowship at Penn. As a Clinical Assistant Professor, I also teach residents and provide in-house lectures in my specialty.
My approach to care begins with listening. I strive to understand each patient’s goals and the challenges they face following a life-changing injury or stroke. Working together, we identify what we can influence, acknowledge what may be beyond our control, and determine what we can realistically work toward. Helping patients navigate that process is central to my work in rehabilitation medicine.
