About Karisten Martin Pharm.D.

I am Karisten Martin, PharmD, the pharmacist-in-charge and store manager at Willoughby Drugs in Clifton, Tennessee. I value the personal connections that are possible in a close-knit community, and I have made it a priority to know my patients by name. Those relationships motivate me to work harder for the people who depend on our pharmacy.

My interest in pharmacy began in high school during a clinical internship at Main Street Pharmacy in Savannah, Tennessee. After shadowing a pharmacist, I knew I had found the profession I wanted to pursue. I continued working at Main Street Pharmacy for approximately 12 years, pursued undergraduate studies at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and earned my Doctor of Pharmacy degree from South College in Knoxville in 2018.

Beyond my day-to-day responsibilities, I enjoy helping others learn about pharmacy and healthcare. I regularly speak at the local Rotary Club about healthcare trends and have introduced kindergarten students to the role of pharmacists as community helpers. My goal is to keep growing Willoughby Drugs while preserving its legacy in Clifton and the personal relationships that make this work meaningful to me.
