About:
Doctor Caton earned her Bachelors of Science in Health at Texas A&M University 2013 and her Doctorate degree at The University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry 2017. During her time in undergrad, she went on several mission trips abroad with her hometown church Prestonwood Baptist Church and a medical mission trip to Honduras.
During optometry school Dr. Caton completed her clinical roations at Community Eye Clinic (Fort Worth Texas), Bob Michael Out Patient VA (Peoria, Illinois) as well as multidisciplinary in house clinics at UIWRSO where she gained experience in specialty contact lens fitting, dry eye management, glaucoma, cataracts, pre and post op surgical care, diabetic management and primary eye care.
Dr. Caton is a dedicated and compassionate optometrist with an eye for detail and a heart full of warmth. Born and raised in the Lone Star State of Texas. Heather's journey into the world of optometry was fueled by her genuine desire to make a positive impact on people's lives. From a young age she was enamored by the complexity and beauty of the human eye. It was at the age of 12 when she decided she wanted to pursue a career in optometry.
Her downtime is a mix of quality family & friend moments and church gatherings, where she finds solace and community. Heather's philanthropic spirit shines through her participation in medical mission trips. These experiences allow her to combine her skills with a deep sense of purpose, bringing vision care to those in need around the world. Her commitment to giving back reflects her belief in the power of compassion and community.
A true Texan at heart, Heather is an avid fan of The Texas A&M Aggies and The Dallas Cowboys. The excitement of game day is a cherished tradition for her and her family, where team spirit runs as deep as her dedication to her profession. Beyond her professional and philanthropic pursuits, Heather enjoys retail therapy and is a self-proclaimed foodie. Exploring new cuisines and flavors. She is an avid animal lover with two of her own, Tina her Shih Tzu and Simba her Bengal. With a caring heart and a sharp eye, she continues to make a positive impact on the world, one pair of eyes at a time.
