Dr. Acree is a board-certified Obstetrics & Gynecologic physician who practices evidence based, standard of care medicine in Annapolis, Maryland. She completed her residency training at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine after completing medical school at University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Acree is an experienced laparoscopic and robotic surgeon. She has a passion for teaching residents at Luminis Health. About:
Dr. Acree joined Luminis Health Annapolis OB-GYN in 2021. This practice of practioners provides comprehensive, evidence-based gynecologic and obstetric care to women throughout Annapolis, Maryland. Prior to joining this esteemed practice, Dr. Acree completed her residency training in the field of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Acree received her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and graduated cum laude. As an undergraduate at Wake Forest University, she majored in biology and was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude.
While at Johns Hopkins, she received competitive research funding for investigating hypertension guidelines on obstetric management. She also gained significant experience in laparoscopic and robotic gynecologic surgeries and has her certificate in ‘Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery'. She has a broad range of medical and surgical experience, and her patient-care interventions are driven by evidence-based best practice.
Dr. Acree is equally passionate about treating both obstetric and gynecologic patients; she enjoys taking care of patients of all ages, from pre- to post-menopausal.
Dr. Acree also has a passion for teaching. While in her residency training, she received the "Excellence in Teaching Award" for her dedication to teaching medical students. Dr. Acree currenty takes an active role in teaching the OB-GYN residents at Luminis Health and is a member of the Program Evaluation Committee and OB/GYN Committee on Academic Affairs and Research.
Dr. Acree's passion for women's health extends beyond the healthcare setting. She is an active board member for Chrysalis House, a program which provides substance use and mental health treatment services to women.
When she is not working, Dr. Acree's interests include spending time with family and friends, traveling, building Legos, and driving her Jeep.
