About Dorcas V. Kaweesa
5 years of lab research and graduate studies. Her main research focuses on the concept of material complexity within the field of design for additive manufacturing. Particularly, her research seeks to understand how digital composite materials behave in terms of their mechanical properties as a result of a custom-designed voxel-based design process. By leveraging existing computational modeling approaches as well as the intricate design capabilities of the material jetting process, she hopes to develop a material modeling tool that can be used to design and predict the mechanical behavior of composite materials at the microscale.
