My name is William (Bill) Schmid, I currently live in Biloxi, MS. I retired from the US Air Force after 20 years of service in January 2011 and E-7 Master Sergeant. I served in two career fields while serving. The first 10 years I was in the Air Transportation career field and the remaining 10 years I was in the Air Force Recruiting Service career field. During my 20 years I have traveled all over the world and been stationed at the following bases/locations: Kelly AFB, TX, Lajes Field, Azores Portugal, Charleston AFB, SC, Anderson AFB, Guam, Travis AFB, CA, Beaverton, OR, New Orleans, LA, Greensboro, NC and Lackland AFB, TX.
I completed my MBA in 2022 and my Bachelor's degree in Management in 2014 both from the University of Phoenix. I an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Human Resources Management from the Community College of the Air Force (Air University).
After I retired from the Air Force, I decided to move back home to Mississippi, which is were I grew up. When I first returned home I had the pleasure of becoming a high school football coach, after my first year there I decided I needed to focus on my education. During this time I went to work for the Harrison County Sheriff's Office. After a injury forced me out after three years, I decided to try my luck with the federal government. I have worked with the Departments of the Navy and Air Force, and the Bureau of Land Management, Arizona. I am currently employed with a great company out of Katy, TX named Segment HR, LLC. My current role as a government contractor, I am a Senior Human Resources Specialist and currently work with NOAA.
I am married and have three daughters, we spend our time traveling and taking cruises and when the fall hits you will find us in Baton Rouge, rooting on our LSU Tigers.
Thank you for reading a little about me and GEAUX TIGERS!!
