About Gladys Arrington Ellis D.D., Ph.D.

My name is Dr. Gladys Arrington Ellis, and I co-founded Good Shepherd Home Healthcare Inc. with my husband in 2006. My commitment to compassionate care grew from a deeply personal experience. Following a serious accident in 1992, I spent approximately eight years in rehabilitation and learned firsthand how much it matters to have caregivers who genuinely care. That experience inspired me to build a company focused on helping people receive personal care in their homes from individuals who recognize the importance of kindness and attention.

My work extends beyond the day-to-day responsibilities of running a business. I encourage our employees to continue learning, pursue their CNA credentials, and consider further opportunities in nursing. Seeing someone begin without experience and develop the confidence and skills to move forward is an important part of the work we do.

Faith and service are central to my life. Through more than five decades of ministry, community counseling, and support for local churches, I have remained committed to meeting people where they are and helping them address their needs. Whether I am supporting a client, encouraging an employee, or speaking with someone in my community, my purpose remains the same: to help people and encourage them to keep moving forward.
