I am Yolanda I. Borbon, DDS, a general dentist in New London, Connecticut. My private practice began on July 2, 2002, and my work includes dental crowns, fillings, veneers, dentures, and implant crown restorations. I restore implants with crowns; I do not surgically place dental implants.
Before continuing my career in the United States, I practiced dentistry for 12 years in the Philippines, where I also taught at a dental school. I later worked as a dental assistant while preparing for my U.S. dental education. After passing NYU’s challenge examination, I completed my DDS at New York University through a two-year program and went on to residency training at Saint Vincent Medical Center.
Helping people is central to my work. Alongside my private practice, I care for older adults in nursing homes one day a week, with a focus on dentures. My service experience also includes Give Kids a Smile Day in 2008 and three months of community work near Mount Pinatubo in the Philippines.
