About Aldo Bravo

I am the eldest of 5 brothers. In 1968, after I finished high school, my father, who had moved to New York City asked me to join him so that, the two of us, could bring the rest of the family to New York. One of my first jobs when I arrived, was cleaning offices and mopping floors. In 1963, I was assigned to clean the floors of Cooper Union. When talking to a guard I discovered that it was a free school, if your application was accepted and you passed the entrance test. Immediately I filled out the application for the evening classes and later passed all the entrance tests. I started my course in 1963 and graduated in 1971, at the age of 31. Cooper Union had an employment office where they posted flyers from enterprises that hired students from the evening school, just for being students there. I applied to a consulting engineering firm in 1964 and was accepted right away. that is how my engineering profession started.
