I am the founder and Director of the Black Maricopa Chamber of Commerce. I am also a 33 year retired, decorated, US Military Veteran. I served in Iraq (2007-2009,) Afghanistan (2009-2010) as a Military Policeman. I also served in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba as a Detention Facility Supervisor (2015-2016.) During my 33 years, I served as a Marine, an Airman, and as a Soldier. In business, I founded O'Jon Property Management and Investments in 1990. I purchased my initial property in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1990. I proceeded throughout the years to purchase real estate (mostly townhomes and condominiums) in Houston,Texas, Nashville, Tennessee, Pontiac, Michigan, and Phoenix, Arizona. I presently have land holdings in Box Elder County, Utah, Presidio County, Texas, Pinal County, Arizona, and Cape Breton, Canada.

Career Accomplisments
I successfully retired from the United States Armed Forces after serving in 3 branches and two combat theaters (33 years.) I founded the Black Maricopa Chamber of Commerce in 2022.
About:
I was born in New York City (East Harlem,) January 24, 1962. My mother and I relocated to do Pompano Beach, Florida in 1965.
My mother met my step-father and we moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1967.
I lived the majority of my childhood in Fort Lauderdale. My parents and I relocated to San Francisco, California in 1978. I graduated from Galileo High School in 1980. In August of 1980, I relocated to San Diego, California to attend San Diego State University. I attended SDSU until May 1984. I enlisted in the Marine Corps in September 1984. The remainder of my biography in located in my summary. I am presently married to Chrystal. I have a son (Ian.) Ian is also an entrepreneur. He resides in Houston,Texas. Chrystal and I oversee a non profit organization (Maricopa Veteran Care Center) here in Maricopa,Az. The MVCC provides paid therapy sessions for Veterans and First Responders suffering to from PTSD, Depression, marital and other issues which inhibit quality of life.
