About Joanne Parsons Underhill

Joanne Underhill has practiced law since 1979. Her current practice emphasizes business formations, governance, business acquisitions and sales, employment practices, resolution of tax problems, and business and real estate litigation in Colorado's federal and state courts. One of the first women undergraduates of Yale University, Joanne served on the staffs of a U.S. Senator and a Congressman on Capitol Hill before law school. Her early years as a lawyer were spent at a national litigation firm in Washington, D.C. and at the Federal Home Loan Bank Board (now known as the Office of Thrift Supervision) and Federal Savings and Loan Association (since merged into the FDIC). In addition to traditional ways of paying for legal services, Ms. Underhill offers her firm's legal services to business owners under a subscription program, called LegalPlans, that feature affordable, fixed monthly fees and other benefits.
