About Dr. Daniel R. Schumaier
I am Daniel R. Schumaier, PhD, an audiologist, practice owner and inventor serving Johnson City and Greeneville, Tennessee. I have been in business in Johnson City since 1973 and have served the Greeneville community since approximately 1983. My career began in speech pathology. After military service, I returned to school and moved into audiology, a profession I continue to enjoy. I earned my PhD from Michigan State University and hold ASHA certification.
Alongside my hearing-care practice, I own Ear Technology Corporation. My inventions and patents involve hearing aids, hearing-aid dryers and sanitizers, and the company sells products internationally. I also lecture, teach and contribute published articles. Across these activities, my guiding principle is to treat people fairly. I remain committed to continuing my work in hearing healthcare and hearing technology for as long as I am able.
