Formed my own business at 27 y/o, after working for 3 arch/engrg firms. Primary focus was residential, commercial, retail, restaurant's and light industrial. After my first year I made a profit,and was approached by a local golf course pro whom I was a friend and playing partner and asked to prepare a " Renovation Master Plan" . I accepted the project and upon completion of the project ,opened JDAGolf Course Architecture. In 2007 The Challenge at Gladewater a project designed by my firm received a Best Redesigned Golf Course in Texas award. I have also had projects profiled in Southern Living magazine. This is our 35yh year in business.
