Dr. John A. Renner, Jr. was born October 8, 1938, in Youngstown, Ohio. He earned his M.D. at Case Western Reserve and his Residency at Tufts University. He specializes in Addition Psychiatry at VA Boston Healthcare System. Dr. Renner, Jr. received the Nyswander-Dole Award. He is a Professor of Psychiatry at Boston University School of Medicine and has 30 publications to his credit. He is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and member and Past President of the Board of the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry.
