Dr. Borer is a Professor of Medicine at State University of New York Downstate Health Science University. and Surgery Chairman of the Department of Medicine; Chief- Division of Cardiovascular Medicine'; Director of the Howard Gillman Institute for Heart Valve Diseases and the Translational Research Institute State University of New York Downstate Medical Center. He has Authored 100+ research papers, 8 books and 450+ scientific papers, and has numerous awards and recognitions for his work. He continues to advance the frontiers of medicine regarding Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI), Chronic Stable Coronary Disease, Heart Valve Disease, Heart Failure, Cardiac Imaging, and Therapeutic Heart-Rate Slowing.
