Detroit, Michigan - Dr. Alraies serves as the medical director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory, cardiac rehab, and director of interventional cardiology research at Harper University Hospital and Heart Hospital at Detroit Medical Center. He is also an assistant clinical professor at Wayne State University. Dr. Alraies received his medical degree from the School of Medicine, the University of Aleppo in Syria, and completed his internship and residency at Case Western University/St. Vincent Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. He further completed his cardiovascular medicine fellowship at the University of Minnesota and his interventional cardiology training at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center.

With over 280 manuscripts published in major peer-reviewed journals and several book chapters on topics related to complex coronary interventions, mechanical circulatory support, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement, Dr. Alraies has made significant contributions to the field of interventional cardiology. His research interests are focused on complex coronary interventions, mechanical circulatory support, large bore vascular access, and medical education.

Dr. Alraies has a special interest in using digital and social media as learning tools for healthcare providers. He is a speaker and moderator at national and interventional cardiovascular educational programs focused on interventional cardiology techniques, science, and publications with experts in the field of interventional cardiology. About Chadi Alraies M.D., MPH, FACC

Dr. Alraies earned his medical degree from Aleppo University, Aleppo Syria. After completing an internal medicine residency at St. Vincent Medical Center/ Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, he spent the next five years as a staff physician at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio. During that time, he served as Assistant Professor of Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Learner College of Medicine, where he was involved in teaching and clinical research. Dr. Alraies completed his cardiovascular fellowship training at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, where he also received a Master’s of Public Health from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. Dr. Alraies completed his interventional cardiology fellowship at the Wayne State University / Detroit Medical Center and stayed. Dr. Alraies has published numerous articles and abstracts in professional, scientific journals. Dr. Alraies has spoken at many major national meetings, workshops, symposiums and conferences.
