Rehoboth Beach, Delaware - Ms. Joan Grady, MA, CCC-SLP received her undergraduate degree from New Paltz and her master’s from Columbia University, where she was awarded a full two-year paid scholarship. Her expertise has been recognized throughout her career, which has included teaching college courses at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock, co-scripting and participating in a training film for the Speech Department at the University of Pittsburgh, and co-authoring and presenting a paper at Closing the Gap's first conference on assistive technology for the disabled.
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, Ms. Grady's caseload has included the remediation of cognition, fluency, production, and receptive/expressive language disorders, as well as training in basic sign language and the design and programming of assistive communication devices. Her commitment to her patients and their families has earned her a reputation as a compassionate and dedicated professional.
With over 50 years of experience, Ms. Grady has demonstrated exceptional skills in preventing, assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of speech, language, cognitive, communication, swallowing, and neurological disorders.
In addition to her private practice, Ms. Grady has also been employed by many hospitals and Rehabilitation Centers for children and adults, where she has supervised students from around the country.
