NASHVILLE, TN — The Global Directory of Who's Who is pleased to recognize Mitchel J. Sauvageau, D.O., an otolaryngologist in Nashville, Tennessee, for his work in general ear, nose and throat care and facial reconstruction. In his eighth year of practice in Nashville, Dr. Sauvageau has developed a focused clinical interest in complex wound closures and reconstruction following Mohs surgery for skin cancer removal. His practice also includes functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty, sleep apnea care involving the Inspire implant, and general ENT services addressing sinus and allergy conditions, tonsil concerns and ear tube placement.
Dr. Sauvageau earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lincoln Memorial University in East Tennessee and completed a residency in otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery through Michigan State University. His training included service as chief resident. After residency, he entered clinical practice and now works in a group setting alongside physician colleagues and advanced practice clinicians. His facial plastic surgery work emphasizes the reconstructive areas in which he received focused training, complementing the broader ENT care he provides to patients in the Nashville area.
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Sauvageau has volunteered with Special Olympics in Nebraska, participated in a medical mission to Haiti during medical school and provided charitable patient care through St. Thomas. He has also welcomed medical students for shadowing experiences and hopes to expand his involvement in teaching and medical service. The Global Directory of Who's Who recognizes Dr. Sauvageau's dedication to growing his practice, caring for patients and contributing to the communities he serves.
