Zehnder, M.D., FAAFP, a board-certified family medicine physician and Medical Director of Exodus Healthcare Network PLLC in Magna, Utah. A Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Zehnder has spent approximately 34 years with the organization, serving as medical director for most of his career. His work centers on providing outpatient primary care to a predominantly underserved community, where many patients face limited resources. Guided by the organization’s mission, “To encourage and give hope in the lives of others,” he brings a longstanding commitment to helping people and making a meaningful difference in his community. During his tenure, Exodus Healthcare Network has grown from approximately six staff members to approximately 106, with a clinical team that includes family physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.

Dr. Zehnder earned his medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, in 1989 and completed his internship and residency in the University of Utah’s Department of Family and Preventive Medicine in 1992. Since completing his residency, he has served as volunteer clinical faculty, helping educate University of Utah residents and medical students. His professional affiliations include the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Utah Academy of Family Physicians. Inspired to enter medicine by a desire to help others and an aptitude for science, Dr. Zehnder credits tenacity, perseverance, and creative problem-solving as important factors in his success. Developer of the first Medical Office Building in underserved community, a 39,000 Square Foot progressive Medical Home. Past-President of the Utah Academy of Family Physicians. Founder of the Utah Healing Rooms, a non-denominational 501c(3) charitable organization that prays for the sick. Founder of the Utah Partners for Health, a 501c(3) non-profit organization that provides access to healthcare for the uninsured. Served as Utah State Senator and co-sponsored legislation for Medicaid expansion throughout the State. Oversight of opening two additional medical clinics and in the process established the Exodus Healthcare Network, whose Mission is to encourage and give hope in the lives of others.
