A Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Zehnder has spent approximately 34 years with the organization, serving as medical director for most of his career. His work centers on providing outpatient primary care to a predominantly underserved community, where many patients face limited resources. During his tenure, Exodus Healthcare Network has grown from approximately six staff members to approximately 106, with a clinical team that includes family physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
Dr. Zehnder earned his medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, in 1989 and completed his internship and residency in the University of Utah’s Department of Family and Preventive Medicine in 1992. Since completing his residency, he has served as volunteer clinical faculty, helping educate University of Utah residents and medical students. His professional affiliations include the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Utah Academy of Family Physicians. Inspired to enter medicine by a desire to help others and an aptitude for science, Dr. Zehnder credits tenacity, perseverance, and creative problem-solving as important factors in his success.
