A board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Mr. Tittle has been affiliated with East Side Family Care Center since 2006 and has served as the practice owner for approximately a decade. Under his leadership, the practice has grown to serve nearly 15,000 registered patients, providing comprehensive primary care services with an emphasis on continuity of care and individualized treatment. His practice offers management of chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and thyroid disorders, along with wellness examinations, preventive care, acute illness treatment, and well-woman services. To better serve the community and reduce unnecessary emergency room visits, he maintains extended evening hours several days each week and remains available on Saturday mornings.

Mr. Tittle’s journey into healthcare began after his service in the United States Army. Originally aspiring to become an engineer, he discovered a calling in nursing following his military service in the late 1980s and earned his nursing degree in 1994. Throughout his distinguished career, he has worked in hospitals, home health, hospice, public health, school district and county programs, the Immigration Health Service, and a busy internal medicine practice. His extensive experience ultimately led him to East Side Family Care Center, where he independently manages patient care while collaborating with physicians when needed. Dedicated to preserving the independence of private practice medicine, Mr. Tittle has remained steadfast in his belief that personalized care and strong provider-patient relationships are essential to achieving the best outcomes. Since relinquishing hospital privileges during the COVID era, he has continued coordinating inpatient treatment through hospitalist groups, ensuring continuity and quality care for his patients.

An advocate for community access to healthcare and patient-centered medicine, Mr. Tittle is committed to keeping patients healthy and out of emergency rooms whenever possible. He is an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), the Texas Nurse Practitioners Association, and the El Paso Advanced Practice Nurses Association. A veteran and healthcare entrepreneur, he has successfully transitioned from employee and contract practitioner to respected practice owner, while also developing expertise in management and medical billing. In recognition of his professional achievements and dedication to independent medicine, Joe F. Tittle has been named a Distinguished Healthcare Professional by the Global Directory of Who’s Who, an honor that celebrates his exceptional leadership and enduring commitment to serving the residents of El Paso, Texas.
