Dr. Douglas K. Holmes MD, FACS, earned a B.S. in Chemistry at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, his M.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine with his Residency at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics (Chief Resident) and he completed a Fellowship in Pediatric ENT at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. He is a Physician at ENT & Audiology Associates PLLC, located at 3820 Ed Drive, In Raleigh, North Carolina. He is board certified in Otolaryngology and has been practicing since 1985. Dr. Holmes provides compassionate, painless, quality care with full explanations in non-medical terms with his diagnosis and recommendations. He has 30 years’ experience providing expert ENT care in the military and is a retired USAF Colonel. Dr. Holmes was selected as North Carolina Top Docs, in 2020, he has earned a Meritorious Service medal and a Morehead Scholar at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honorary Society, Phi Beta Kappa, North Carolina Medical Society, American Academy of Otolaryngology -Head and Neck Surgery, American College of Surgeons and the Wake County Medical Society. Dr. Holmes is married to Randi Holmes, Audiologist and Administrator for the practice. In his free time, he enjoys reading, swimming, fitness and chess.
