Dr. Costanzo earned her medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. She went on to complete an intensive seven-year general surgery residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, which included a two-year pediatric research fellowship at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. Her passion for advancing care led her to pursue an additional fellowship in colon and rectal surgery, she was formerly at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Following her fellowship, she was appointed as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the same institution, she is now at ChristinaCare Health Systems, where she continues to contribute to the next generation of surgical professionals.

Recognized for her excellence in both practice and instruction, Dr. Costanzo has received the prestigious Excellence in Teaching Award and was honored as a Philadelphia Top Doc in 2024, further solidifying her reputation as a leading physician in the region. She holds active memberships in several professional organizations, including the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgery, and the Pennsylvania Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery. Through her ongoing work in complex surgical procedures and medical education, Dr. Costanzo continues to set a high standard of excellence in the field of surgery.
