Renowned Mathematician Dennis G. Collins Honored by the Global Directory of Who's Who

Winamac, IN — The Global Directory of Who's Who proudly announces the inclusion of Dennis G. Collins, an esteemed mathematician and academic, into its prestigious registry. Collins's remarkable career and contributions to the field of mathematics have earned him this well-deserved recognition.

Dennis G. Collins holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Physics from Valparaiso University of Indiana, a master’s in mathematics, and a Ph.D. in Mathematics, both from the Illinois Institute of Technology. His distinguished academic journey led him to a 27-year tenure as a Mathematics Professor at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez.

In addition to his academic achievements, Professor Collins is a prolific author, having penned the thought-provoking book Conflict in History, Measuring Symmetry, Thermodynamic Modeling and Other Work.  He has also worked with transformity/ eigenvalue modeling with Prof. H.T. Odum (passed away 2002 age 78) and what might be termed theodynamic modeling with Prof David Scienceman (passed away 2020 age 90). Professor Collins innovative work has extended beyond academia, leading to the development of an AI Artificial Intelligence patent in 2011, through his involvement with the Quantum History Institute.

Professor Collins professional affiliations are a testament to his deep commitment to his field. He is actively involved with the American Mathematical Society, the American Chemical Society, and the Mathematical Association of America. He is the Mayaguez Chapter President of the scientific honor research society Sigma Xi. He is also a member of SIAM (applied math society), SPIE (photonics society), AAAS (American Assoc. for Advancement of Science), and NYAS (New York Academy of Sciences).

Outside of his professional pursuits, Professor Collins has a passion for collecting books and postcards, and he enjoys working on furniture, showcasing his diverse range of interests.
