Mohammad Ahsan MD, AQPM, DABPM, DAAPM, earned his Medical Degree at King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan. He then went on to complete his Residency in Anesthesiology followed by Fellowship in Pain Management at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Dr. Ahsan is the co-founder and owner of Northwest Suburban Pain Center (NSPC), and has been with the practice for the last 25 years. He covers interventional pain management across the northwest suburbs with busy practice locations in Arlington Heights and South Barrington. He specializes in diagnosis and treatment of chronic pain. His areas of interest and experience range from conservative options such as radiofrequency of lumbar facet joint nerves and epidural injection treatments, to newer and more diversified techniques to target a variety of pain generators such as implantable devices for drug delivery systems, spinal column stimulators, percutaneous disc removal techniques for chronic intractable neck and back pain, minimally invasive lumbar disc decompression (MILD), kyphoplasty for compression fractures, Intracept, dorsal root ganglion (DRG) stimulation, sacroiliac joint ablation and fusion. He also offers treatment with regenerative medicine with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and bone marrow. Dr. Ahsan was named Top 10 Doctor in the Metro Area and Top Doctor in Illinois; he received a Patients Choice Award and Compassionate Doctor Award.
