He completed his internship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles (2002–2003), followed by a Radiation Oncology residency at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles (2003–2007). With over two decades of experience, Dr. Volpp has served as Medical Director of his department and is currently pending a professorship at the University of California, San Diego, reflecting his dedication to both clinical excellence and academic advancement.

Known for his forward-thinking approach, Dr. Volpp integrates cutting-edge radiation physics and biology with emerging therapies, including immunotherapy, to create highly effective, multidisciplinary cancer treatment plans.
