Nashville, TN – The Global Directory of Who’s Who proudly recognizes Dr. Stephanie Sullivan, MD, for her exceptional contributions to the field of gynecologic oncology. Dr. Sullivan is a board-certified gynecologic oncologist currently practicing at Gynecologic Oncology of Middle Tennessee in Nashville, where she provides comprehensive care for women with gynecologic cancers, including complex surgery, chemotherapy, and longitudinal oncologic management.
Dr. Sullivan joined the practice in 2023 after serving as Assistant Professor in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Virginia Commonwealth University. During her tenure, she held several leadership roles, including Director of Gynecologic Oncology Education, and was actively involved in resident and fellow training as well as multidisciplinary cancer care.
She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Penn State, where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society, and completed her residency and fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology at the University of North Carolina (UNC), where she distinguished herself as Chief Resident. Dr. Sullivan’s academic work spans clinical outcomes, health disparities, and translational research in gynecologic cancers. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, presented her work at multiple national meetings, and served as principal investigator on funded research.
In addition to her clinical and academic work, Dr. Sullivan is actively engaged in national professional organizations. She has held leadership roles within the Society of Gynecologic Oncology, including serving as Chair of the Education Committee, and currently contributes to the organization’s Wellness Committee. She also serves as co-chair of the Sarah Cannon Cancer Network National Gynecologic Oncology Group.
Her contributions have been recognized with multiple honors, including Richmond Top Doctor distinctions, designation as a Massey Cancer Center Harrison Scholar, and national teaching and research awards. Known for her compassionate approach and commitment to improving outcomes for women with cancer, Dr. Sullivan continues to make a meaningful impact in her field. Her work exemplifies the highest standards of medical excellence, innovation, and dedication to patient well-being.
