Irving, TX — The Global Directory of Who’s Who proudly recognizes Dr. Jay P. Shah, M.D., of Unity Healthcare Alliance, for his outstanding achievements in Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. Dr. Shah earned his medical degree from Rush Medical College of Rush University Medical Center and his Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois Chicago. He completed his residency at the University of Alabama Medical Center and advanced his expertise through fellowships in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine at both the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. From 2017 to 2024, Dr. Shah served as an Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he contributed to the education of future surgeons while maintaining a thriving clinical practice.
A respected leader in his field, Dr. Shah has been recognized as a Top Doctor (2024–2025) and a Rising Star (2019–2021) for his excellence in patient care and innovation. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM). Deeply involved in his community, Dr. Shah has volunteered as a team physician for five local high schools, as well as Texas Christian University and Dallas Baptist University. Married for 19 years with two sons, he enjoys sports, cars, and the outdoors—reflecting the same energy and dedication he brings to his medical practice and his patients.
