Ms. McBurse practices family medicine with Malozera Primary Care, a private practice serving as a vital “one-stop shop” for the surrounding rural community. Board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner, she earned her MSN from South University in Savannah, Georgia (2022), her BSN from Western Governors University (2018), and her ASN from Middle Georgia State University (2013). In addition to clinical practice, she serves as an Assistant Professor of Nursing, combining hands-on patient care with academic leadership. A product of a rural health community herself, Ms. McBurse is deeply committed to improving access, early intervention, and patient education. At Malozera Primary Care, she collaborates closely with specialists to reduce travel burdens for elderly and underserved patients, often coordinating consultations on patients’ behalf. Her vision includes expanding in-office screenings—such as hearing and other preventive assessments—to identify issues early, improve compliance, and ensure timely referrals when needed. Education is central to her approach, with every patient visit focused on teaching individuals how to better understand and manage their health. Beyond the clinic, Ms. McBurse is a dedicated community leader and educator. She formerly served on the Hawkinsville Chamber board, having progressed from board member to chairman, and contributes to the Bleckley County Recreation Department to support youth sports and engagement. A member of the American Nurses Association, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the Georgia Association of Nurse Educators, she also works with the Department of Public Health to conduct community and school-based screenings, including scoliosis checks and sports physicals. Through her teaching at Middle Georgia State University and outreach across Georgia and the Southeast, Ms. McBurse mentors nursing students and inspires future healthcare professionals—driven by a passion for prevention, education, and compassionate care.
