Dr. Punya Raman earned her M.D. at Lokmanya Tilah Municipal Medical College in 1988 and completed her residency in Family Medicine in Wichita Falls, Texas. Dr. Punya Raman is a board-certified family medical doctor. She is the medical director of Avista Family Medicine and Weight Loss. She has served in that position for the last 10 years. She is now 2nd board-certified in Obesity Medicine. Compassion for her patients drives her to provide the best medical care possible and experience in delivering high-quality medical care services. Dr. Raman does both traditional family medicine and obesity medicine. Traditional Family Medicine is devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. Bariatric Medicine is devoted to treating overweight and obese patients through weight loss strategies and lifestyle changes. Dr. Raman is one of a few Bariatricians in the state of Arizona.
