Roosevelt, NY – The Global Directory of Who’s Who proudly recognizes Chrystal D. Wright for her unwavering dedication to educational leadership within the juvenile justice system. As Assistant Principal at District 79, an alternative education program under the New York City Department of Education, Ms. Wright has played a transformative role in shaping the academic and personal development of students in correctional and non-traditional settings.

Ms. Wright holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Binghamton University and a Master of Science in Teaching from Pace University. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Binghamton University and holds certifications in both Educational Leadership and Special Education for grades 5 through 9. In 2015, her exceptional performance and commitment were recognized when she was named Rookie of the Year within her district.

A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Ms. Wright is deeply committed to community service, volunteering with church-based youth dance ministries and participating in initiatives that support incarcerated students. She is actively affiliated with the New York State Association of Incarcerated Education Programs and the National Association of Special Education Teachers (NASET).

Ms. Wright has contributed her voice and expertise as a guest speaker at Touro College, the Everyone Reads Annual Conference, and the Correctional Education Regional Conference, where she advocates for equity in education and the transformative power of learning in the juvenile justice system. In her personal life, she enjoys music and dance and has been happily married for three years.

Her recognition by the Global Directory of Who’s Who reflects a career marked by service, passion, and a commitment to uplifting some of the most vulnerable student populations in the education system.
